For instance, the brief appearance of Suhel Seth in Guzarish was loved by audience and critics alike. Despite it being hardly a 10-15-minute performance, everyone noticed it.

Chandrachur Singh and Jimmy Shergil in Machis

Before the release of this movie, Tabu was known as the quirky ‘Ruk-Ruk’ girl. Everyone knew that this girl has a lot of unexplored acting potential and with the release of Machis people finally came to know what Tabu is capable of. Under the excellent direction of Gulzaar Sahab, Machis is that one movie that is engraved in the hearts of cinema lovers but what came as a surprise in the movie is the acting performance of Chadrachur Singh. The actor who was last seen in a web series called Aarya alongside Sushmita Sen begin his acting career with a supporting role. In fact, Jimmy Shergil was supported by Yashraj from the same movie.

Suhel Seth In Guzarish

Like we have already mentioned above, Suhel Seth had a very small role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzarish. He played the role of a righteous lawyer in the movie but what surprised people was how well he played the role given that he does not come from a strong acting background. Though, the author and celebrity manager/friend is very much known in the Bollywood circle but with this performance he also proved his acting chops.   

Tabu in Biwi No.1

If you recall, Biwi No.1 was a Salmaan Khan, Karishma Kapoor, and Sushmita Sen movie but Tabu’s small role truly shined out in the movie and everyone fell in love with this loud Punjabi housewife named Lovely. Though, Tabu had a very small screen space, this is for the first-time people realized that she is capable of comedy as well. The entire climax scene was uplifted to a whole another level due to her amazing performance alongside Anil Kapoor.

When it comes to mentioning some of the finest performances by Tabu, one cannot go without mentioning Madhur Bhandarkar’s Chandini Bar. The movie was gritty, dark, and haunting to its core. Tabu played the role of a bar dancer in the movie and her performance effectively conveyed the horrors of bar dancers and sex workers working in these areas. But who can forget the effective role of Atul Kulkarni who played the role of a gangster who later on married Chandini. Though, this movie is completely owned by Tabu, no one can deny how impactful Atul Kulkarni was in this role.
